Validation of School Religious Education Programs
Each Catholic and ecumenical school is required to have a documented Religious Education Program designed in accordance with the Religious Education Curriculum and approved through an Archdiocesan validation process. Regular monitoring and review of the program and its delivery is aligned with approved cyclical review processes.

Access for Peer Reviewers to the Validation Site:
If you would like to edit or add to your own school's program, you will now need to contact your Education Officer, Religious Education (EORE).
If you are part of your school's peer review team, you should have received an email Monday 17th October confirming that you now have permission to review materials. Permissions were granted via registrations Validation Days in iLearn. The permissioning process has now concluded. If you do not have access to materials, please work with a colleague at your school who does have access.
As you preview the school programs you will be Validating, please identify evidence of each of the elements of the criteria, as summarised in the ‘checklist’ provided in the Panel Recording Booklet. There is also room to note any particular strengths you identify from this evidence, as well as any questions or concerns you might have. You can then raise these during both the presentation and discernment process on validation day. Please have access to your Panel Recording Booklet, either hard copy or online, on the day of validation so that you are able to use your preview notes to inform the validation process. Additional copies of the Panel Recording Booklet will be provided on the day of validation, as panel members may need additional room to record notes as school teams are presenting.
Remember, all materials are confidential and should not be discussed or shown outside of your peer review group.
If you notice an omission or are concerned by a submission, please contact your APRE in the first instance. If the APRE believes the issue should be raised before the Validation meeting, please contact your EORE or the Panel Chair for your Validation group.
